Brent S. Stewart

Serving as Mayor of the Village of Malone. 

Brent was elected to serve a four year term in November of 2003, and was re-elected for his second term 11/2007.

Work Experience

Retired from Verizon, in September, 2002, after 31 years of service as a Communications Technician; also gained supervisory and management experience over the years serving as an acting foreman in the Malone, Saranac Lake and Plattsburgh offices.

Community Service

            - A member of Northern Aurora Lodge No. 0383 F. & A.M.

            - A member of Media Temple, (the Shriners are an organization which provides medical attention to children with orthopedic problems and/or defects and to children with burn injuries)

            - A member and past-president of the Malone Shrine Club

            - former member of the Duane Vol. Fire Department, serving for six years as a member and first assistant chief

            - former member of the Malone Call firemen, for approximately fifteen years, with experience as part of the Board of Directors

            - Past-President of the Fraco Drill Area in Westville

            - Past member of the Franklin County Fire Chiefs Association

            - Past secretary and member of the Franklin County Fire Advisory Board

            - Served for over 20 years as a New York State Hunter Safety Instructor and as Franklin County Hunter Safety Coordinator
